Sexual Health Education: Sexual Health is an important topic to cover during a young age, it helps teach youth about their sexuality, relationships, sex, puberty, how to stay safe, how to communicate what they’re feeling, etc. Youth are usually taught this by teachers throughout grade school.
Other things you will learn about: Sexually Transmitted Infections, how to prevent unwanted pregnancy, condoms, sexual orientation, gender, contraception, body image, reproduction, how the human body works, etc.
Why is it important to learn about Sexual Health: During the transition of childhood to adulthood many youths are given the wrong information regarding sex and relationships, what also tends to happen is many of them misinterpret the information they are given. When given the correct information on sexual health it is more likely for teens to have a safe, productive, and fulfilling life. Everyone should be informed about this at the correct time, but also we should make sure we are learning what is correct!
